Ingredients ( 4-6 )

  • 1 whole chicken(take out gilblets)
  • 2 whole lemons sliced lawreys tequila lime marinade
  • 1 bottle lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 can of beer

Directions

  1. rinse chicken in cold water pat dry and salt cavity, par boil chiken in large pot for 15 minutes remove let cool for 10 minutes
  2. squeeze lemons all over chicken. put chicken in a large bowl with a lid add marinade all over chicken sprinkle with lemon pepper put all lemon slices in with chicken refrigerate for 3-4 hours
  3. open beer put large opening of chicken legs down on beer can
  4. place in shallow baking pan cook on grill about hour in a half check temp 180 degrees is great. i find it better on a grill with a large lid use marinade to baste during cooking time. a beer butt chicken holder is the easiest they are at all walmarts and cooking stores.
  5. when removing chicke lay it down breast side up in the baking dish let cool 10 minutes and remove beer can the juice is the best
  6. i also put lemon wedges in the top of the chicken while it cooks beer tequilla and lemon, i like to par boil before grilling to ensure that its cooked, this is a great tasting recipe, sounds like a lot of work butt!!!! its not. no mess.
