Ingredients ( 1 )

  • Romain
  • Iceberg
  • 12 carrots
  • 4 snow peas
  • red cabbage
  • radishes
  • 1/3 cup of maple syrup

Directions

  1. Mix all of the ingredients together in a large bowl and hand toss
  2. Pour the syrup over the mixture and hand toss until evenly distributed
  3. >>>>>>IMPORTANT<<<<<<<< The ratio of snow peas to carrot MUST stay the same. I repeat, the ration MUST NOT change. The portion of the recipe can change as long as THE RATION OF CARROTS TO SNOW PEAS DOES NOT CHANGE. If, by some zany accident, the ratio does change, THE RECIPE IS RUINED AND MUST BE DESTROYED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. A 1:3 RATIO OF SNOW PEAS TO CARROTS MUST BE MAINTAINED!!!

Wow!!! I've really hit the jackpot on salad recipes. This was simply amazing. When I first read the recipe, I thought the syrup would be overpowering. Boy! was I wrong! The flavor of maple syrup lightly accentuates the iceberg without being too strong while the snow peas give the salad a bit of a crunch. On my first attempt, I added one too many carrots and IT WAS HORRIBLE. So naturally, I put it in a blender with a bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide and then poured it in the garbage disposal, so no harm was done. p.s. My "tykes" loved it too :-)
