by: sreid No Chew Chicken dish

No picture

This recipe is for adults that for some reason can't chew well. But it would be a great "transition food" for babies with a few teeth. I developed this for my 18 year old son after he got all 4 wisdom teeth out and was starved for real food. Feel free to change and improve.

Ingredients ( 4 )

  • 1 pound of fresh ground chicken. Fresh cooks up softer than frozen.
  • 1 can of chopped spinach. The canned is softer than fresh or frozen
  • 1 can of Campbell's cream of potato soup
  • 2 tsp Bell's Seasoning or poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Sharp Chedder Cheese shredded for garnish
  • Olive Oil for frying pan or wok

Directions

  1. In a large heavy skillet or wok. Warm about a TB of oil in the pan, add the chicken and spices and stir constantly to keep soft. cook 1 min. Then add the canned soup and drained canned spinach. Stir over Med high heat until done. ( about 3-5 minutes) Check spices and correct if needed. Add shredded cheese garnish and serve.
  2. This whole dish can be done and on the serving tray in less than ten minutes! If your adult can stand it, spice it up with hot sauce!
  3. This dish was intended for a starved teen and is not low fat at all. Maybe someone could modify it to make it low fat?
